What a corrie on Coronation Street cast left fuming as they’re forced to pay for their own summer party amid ITV cuts

THE Coronation Street cast have been left fuming after being made to arrange and pay for their own summer party.

The stars of the ITV soap have had to come together to organise their own private event as a result of cash-strapped ITV refusing to host a bash for them.

The Sun understands that in order to be let into the event, the cast need to each pay an entry fee of £22.24.

Once inside the venue, they will also have to splash out for their own drinks with a “full bar service” available throughout the evening.

The fact they have been left to fend for themselves has left some of them unhappy.

One source told The Sun: “The cast aren’t best pleased about having totheir own party.

“They have had to plan and pay for everything themselves.

“It is annoying for them that despite being one of the biggest TV productions in the country that they can’t have a celebration laid out for them.

“A few of the cast have been rolling their eyes behind-the-scenes.”

Only those cast members willing to pay will attend and the stars are under no obligation to be at the bash.

The ITV soap has been hit by extensive budget cuts in recent years.

Money on the programme is understood to have been slashed which has resulted in various different cast axings in order to save costs.
