Vanished Emmerdale star returns after 2 years – in time for legend’s death
As absolutely juiced as we are to see the return of bitch-with-a-capital-B, Sadie King (Patsy Kensit), we’re pretty devo’d to know that it’ll more than likely tie in to the exit and death of Emmerdale stalwart, Jimmy King (Nick Miles).
As it turns out, though, Sadie won’t be the only one back to see the end of Jimmy – who’ll be killed off this summer – with his on-screen daughter, Angelica King, played by Rebecca Bakes, returning for the plot, alongside her half-brother, Elliot Windsor (Luca Hoyle).

Jimmy was pretty loathsome originally, wasn’t he? Though, it wasn’t hard to see why, as the entire King clan were rather rotten.
Patriarch Tom (Ken Farrington) and his three eldest sons, the previously-mentioned Jimmy, Matthew (Matt Healy) and Carl (Tom Lister) arrived in Emmerdale and established themselves as a bunch of posho prats, who held other people in incredibly low regard and caused untold chaos in their pursuit of power and wealth.
Max King (Charlie Kemp), the Scrappy-Doo of the bunch turned up later and was much nicer, but unfortunately, he pretty quickly kicked the bucket after a car explosion. This was followed by dad Tom’s death the year after at the hands of Carl, and from then on, the Kings started dropping like flies. Matthew died the year after that, and Carl a few years after that.

Now the last King standing, a different side of Jimmy emerged. Free of his dad’s toxic influence, his true colours began to show and he morphed from a ruthless, single-minded business magnate into a loveable oaf, who’d do anything for those he loves.
Jimmy’s turn from villain to comedy character coincided with him beginning a family with Nicola Blackstock (Nicola Wheeler).
Their brood came together in a very intriguing way. Eldest son, Elliot, was born to Jimmy and Kelly Windsor (Adele Silva), who left him with his dad and step-mum to appear on a reality show.
Second child, daughter Angelica came next, while youngest son, Carl Holliday (Charlie Joyce) was the result of a sperm mix-up in a fertility clinic.
While Carl appeared as part of an indecent images storyline last year, both Elliot and Angelica have been missing in action for quite a while.

That’s set to change, though, with Rebecca will be resuming her role, after last appearing on screen in January 2025. The Sun revealed that her return will directly tie in to Jimmy’s exit: ‘The kids have been off-screen for almost two years but will make a return this summer.
‘They’re all really excited to be back filming but it’s tinged with sadness because Nick is leaving the show.’
Another source previously : ‘The scenes promise to be spectacular but the outcome will leave many fans shocked. It may prove controversial but the jaw-dropping storyline will set in motion some massive consequences for many months to follow.’
Angelica’s most prominent storyline saw her sentenced to eight months in the facility following her role in the death of Heath Hope (Sebastian Dowling).
Angelica drove a car containing Heath and his twin sister Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) and crashed into a wall, with Heath pronounced dead at the scene. While Nicola and Jimmy considered concealing the crime, Angel eventually told the truth and faced the consequences of her actions.
Luca Hoyle also confirmed his return to filming last week, having last appeared on the soap in 2024.
‘After a short break, I am so excited to say that this summer I am back in the studio filming for a new storyline as Elliot Windsor in Emmerdale,’ he said in an Instagram post.
‘It’s a role I’ve been lucky enough to play since 2016, and it’s such a privilege to still be part of it.
‘Looking forward to seeing where this next chapter goes.’
